How long can I use the Upbound Individual Plan for free?

The Upbound Individual Plan is meant for a single user to be able to utilize Upbound platform engineering tooling and developer control plans for testing. It is always free, and the account is always available unless you delete it, or do not access it for 6 months.  After 6 months, unused accounts will be deleted.  Upbound Individual Accounts are metered to 200,000 Loops per month, which is enough capacity to test 277 managed resources 24 X 7 for 30 days.  Should you consume 200,000 Loops in a month, the account will be halted until the following month.

How long is the initial free introductory period for Upbound Team Plan?

The free introductory period for the Upbound Team Plan will last until January 31, 2025, after which time we will begin charging the monthly subscription and additional loops usage. After January 16, 2025, you will be prompted to enter credit card information in order to continue utilizing your account.  After January 31, if we are unable to execute payment, your account will be halted and eventually deleted.

After January 16, 2025, we intend to offer to new users a more time limited trial, but introductory period users will maintain their free access until the end of January.

What is a “Loop” and how do I estimate how many that I need?

A Loop is the consumption metric for Upbound. One Loop equals one hour of runtime for one managed resource.  One managed resource running continuously 24 X 7 for a 30 day average month will consume 720 Loops.  Loops are consumed by actual resource runtime, so resources that are not provisioned full time will only be charged for their actual runtime.

What is a “managed resource”?

A managed resource for purposes of pricing is any provisioned system external to Upbound that is managed by control planes in Upbound.

How long can I subscribe to the Upbound Team Plan?

The Upbound Team Plan is a month-to-month subscription, and is renewed by payment of the prior month and true-up of capacity used.

How do I cancel my Upbound Team Plan subscription?

You can cancel your Upbound Team subscription in your account profile on the Upbound platform.  Upon cancellation, you will be charged the monthly minimum plus any additional usage owed.  If you are below the minimum usage, your account will continue to run until the end of the monthly period.

What if I want access to features in the Enterprise or Business Critical Plans?

If you are on the Upbound Team Plan, your account can be upgraded to access Enterprise and Business Critical Tiers. Contact Us to learn more.

Can I get a trial of Enterprise or Business Critical features?

For qualified prospects, Upbound does offer guided trials and proof-of-value (POV) projects of Enterprise and Business Critical features.  You can also run a pilot project for any length of time with the Upbound Team Plan.
